Research information is often scattered across Excel files, Word documents, emails, and different administrative systems. This creates duplicated work, inconsistent data, and significant effort whenever faculty, research centers, finance teams, or university leadership need an updated report. We propose a Unified Research Management System where research data is entered once, continuously updated, and automatically reflected across dashboards, reports, and management views.

The system can integrate project information, researchers, budgets, publications, milestones, funding, and KPIs into a common data model, with role-based dashboards and automated reporting. The solution is feasible because most of the required data already exists in current university systems and documents; the main task is to connect, standardize, and synchronize it. The next step is to build a prototype around one research center or a small set of projects, validate the core data model and reporting workflows, and then expand across the university.
